Friend in Store is an app designed to discover NYC stores alongside their in-store events. From parties to workshops, tastings, talks, pop-ups, game nights and more, we help you find what’s in-store across the city.

You can find events under the Events tab in the app, searchable by neighborhood, date and type. Each event profile offers you details, directions and link to RSVP and buy tickets, if required. You can also save and share events that interest you, as well as add to your calendar as a reminder.

Friend in Store features a diverse range of independent retailers across NYC, each hand-selected for its distinct point of view and in-store experience. From bookshops to fashion boutiques, design studios, florists, record stores, specialty grocers and more.

Each store featured is hand-selected by our founder or one of our guest curators. City insiders, tastemakers and fellow store champions with unique perspectives and creative lenses to discover store through.

Store Collections are guest curated lists of five favorite stores across NYC.  

Store Strolls are guest curated neighborhood itineraries, creating walkable retail experiences for the ultimate day or night in the city.

Each event in the app is hosted at an independent store and is open to the public. Parties, workshops, tastings, talks, pop-ups, game nights, vinyl listening sessions, closet sales and more. Events that invite us inside to connect in-person.

Yes, you can save and share your favorite stores, events and collections directly from the app. An easy way to organize, plan or send recommendations to friends.

When saving a store, you can select to create or add to an existing list of favorite stores. Your collections will be saved in your profile and can be shared with friends.

On occasion, stores in the app will extend an in-store privilege. These may be Friend-only discounts, gifts with purchase, exclusive in-store experiences and more. Privilege details and redemption instructions can be found on individual store profiles.
