At Friend in Store, we set out to champion the in-store experience. Helping people discover exceptional NYC stores and their events. The parties, workshops, tastings, talks, pop-ups, game nights and more happening inside stores.
Why in-store? Well, we believe there’s a magic that happens when you step inside a store. A great shopping experience, yes, but also something more. An opportunity for a new discovery. A chance for a new encounter. A human connection.
We built our app with the conviction that stores are no longer just places of commerce, but centers of community. And to celebrate and support stores in this transformation to reach new audiences and drive foot traffic.

Inside the app, each store is hand-selected by our founder or a guest curator for its distinct point of view and unique in-store experience. Together creating a vibrant and diverse collection of extraordinary independent stores across the city.

There’s no charge to be featured in the app. And as part of Friend in Store, you now have the opportunity to share your in-store events, if you so choose.
There’s currently no fee to submit an event while we continue to build the platform. To submit an event, visit our store portal at friendinstore.com, click ‘Store Event Submissions’, log in and enter the passcode ‘HelloFriend’.
